1. The LH Ovulation Test
Even if you are ovulating normally, it is the first thing your fertility expert is supposed to examine. This is checked through a number of blood tests in order to check your LH surge. Then an ultrasound is done to judge whether the egg are ovulating properly or not. If the lh test indicates a positive sign then you are in the most fertile period of your menstrual cycle.
2. The HSG Test
HSG, also called hysterosalpingogram test involves an x-ray that gives you doctor a clear insight to the inner lining of the uterus and the fallopian tubes. This test helps in detecting any blockage in the fallopian tubes, shape of the uterine cavity, and can also disclose problems like fibroids affecting the egg fertilization process.
3. Laparoscopy
This is a surgery done under the influence of local anesthesia. A thin and lighted tube is inserted to check whether there are any cysts, adhesion or infection, basically the pelvic organs of the female reproductive system.
4. Hysteroscopy
This test investigates cervix to reveal any uterine cavity through endoscopy. It diagnosis the intrauterine pathology and is an effective method for surgical intervention, also known as operative hysteroscopy. A fertility expert uses various tools to study the uterus and possibly remove any fibroids. The test lasts for 20-30 minutes only.
5. Ovarian reserve Test
The Ovarian Reserve test, also called the Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) Test, is usually done on 3rd day of your menstrual cycle to examine the FSH levels in the body. It involves a number of tests to determine the quantity and quality of eggs present in the woman’s uterus. This test gives your fertility expert a brief idea of whether you are capable of undergoing fertility medications or IVF.
