51-year old Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan said that “He was a changed man once he became a parent, a feeling that is very close to his heart.” He also added that “children bring special happiness in the lives of parents and he experienced that when he had his first child, Junaid. It’s such a joy to have a child in your life. It’s something that really changes your life. I remember my mother used to tell me when I was a kid, ‘When you become a parent you’ll realize what it is to become a parent.”
He also said that “When I had my first child, Junaid, it changed me, changed my life. But there are so many parents, people, so many single parents who are unable to have child…”
Aamir, who had his third child Azad with second wife Kiran through surrogacy, said that they did not face any hurdles while undergoing surrogacy.
He further added, “There were no hurdles, we both wanted to have a child. We were happy when he was born. We wanted to be clear about how we conceived the child, we didn’t do anything wrong and people should be aware about it. We are very happy that we gave birth to a child through IVF surrogacy.
Aamir Khan’s second wife Kiran said that she felt “complete” after the birth of “Azad”, second son through surrogacy.
“I don’t know what I did for those 20 years before Azad was born. My life is so full now. I am so humbled by the completeness he makes me feel. We had a lot of trouble trying to have a child. I really didn’t think it would be possible to have a baby.”
India has become a hub of surrogacy and the way we view reproduction has undergone a big change in the past few years. Before, decisions like surrogacy or even adoption were kept behind the closed doors but now the scenario is changing. Most of the celebrities are being out and loud about their parenthood journey through IVF or surrogacy, which is surely a wonderful job as it is contributing to great awareness about assisted reproductive technology (ART) among common genre.
At last, I feel glad and happy for Aamir Khan to have a baby through surrogacy. I wish him and his family a happy parenthood full of love and joy.
